THE NAME

“The Forest” sometimes catches some attention and people want to know why we picked this name to represent our church.

Our name comes from a deep desire to stick to the Biblical way of talking about ourselves, our identity and the lives we are meant to live the way God shows us in His Word. We aren’t attempting to make cool sayings, we’re just keeping to the Script.…

Simply put, it is a framework for helping everyday Christians understand the 30,000 foot view we all should know if we follow Jesus. It’s a return to the Bible as our instructor and a tenacity to be the church the way it was set up to be in the time of the Apostles.

In all of “The Forest” metaphor surrounding our efforts here, we are just seeking to be the 2,000 year old Faithful body called “The Church”. Nothing more. Nothing Less.

MISSION

THE FOREST CHURCH EXISTS TO GLORIFY GOD BY THE MATURING OF HIS CHURCH, THROUGH THE TRUTHFUL ENGAGEMENT OF HIS WORD AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, SO THAT THE REAL LIFE OFFERED IN CHRIST WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE CITY.
