Tai chi is a practice that involves a series of slow gentle movements and physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. Tai chi originated as an ancient martial art in China. Over the years, it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation.
The requested cost for this class is $10 but is also offered on a sliding scale, based on your ability to pay.
Michael Millet, PT, DPT, Certified Evidence Based Chen Style Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor. He has been practicing Buddhist/Zen meditation for over 20 years. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Louisiana State University Health Center in May 2010.
